Oahu Luau Shows: Experience The Magic Of The Dance

Why not experience the time-honored Hawaiian tradition of the luau, which has been celebrated and revered for centuries, in grand style by enjoying a luau show when on a Hawaiian vacation.

Oahu luau shows are presented at various venues throughout this beautiful, sun-drenched locale, including the Royal Hawaiian Hotel and the Polynesian Cultural Center. These shows, while varying in content and presentation, are likely to feature common elements that capture both the glamour and rich tradition of Hawaiian life.

Food is an integral part of a luau show, as expected by any Hawaii vacationer. And—unlike many standard back yard luaus—guests at this professionally staged and planned feast will enjoy traditional Hawaiian dishes that (as an bonus) they don’t have to prepare themselves. These could include succulent meat dishes like Kalua Pig (Hawaiian style roast pork), Mahi Mahi (tender white fish), Lau Lau (steamed Polynesian spinach with pork and fish), Teriyaki Steak and Lomi Salmon; salad dishes like Tossed Salad, Seafood Salad, Namasu & Bean Salad; rice dishes such as Chicken Long Rice and Fried Rice; side dishes such as Baked Sweet Potato, Fresh Pineapple & Sliced Fresh Fruits; the Hawaiian classic Poi; and desserts that include Haupia (coconut dessert), Coconut Cake, Pineapple Chiffon Cake, Guava Chiffon Cake, Banana Bread and Carrot Cake.

You can find a variety of refreshing drinks, anything from the classic tropical Mai Tais to a variety of beers and wines while eating the lavish meal at an Oahu Luau show.

Entertainment is also plentiful at Oahu Luau Shows; and unlike one’s typical neighborhood luaus, when entertainment might include a slightly imbibed Uncle Harry attempting an awkward version of the hula dance, these professionally directed and coordinated shows will include trained, talented and fully costumed dancers performing time-honored Hawaiian and Polynesian dances—including the hula, war and fire dances– in fun and elegant fashion.

Decorations also play an integral role in the majority of Oahu Luau Shows. Many of these festivities take place outdoor during the evening hours, and are adorned with a colorful assortment of torches and floral displays, as well as the beauty of a Hawaiian sunset and a plethora of lush tropical greenery serving as a scintillating backdrop.

Indoor luau festivities generally are conducted in elegant indoor halls, which also are adorned with lush floral and greenery arrangements as well as an assortment of colored lighting fixtures, and perhaps some upscale stage decorations, curtains and carpeting.

Originally a sacred celebration to honor Hawaiian gods, a luau is now a party that can be enjoyed anytime, in any area of the world. Yet only at Oahu Luau Shows can you experience this beautiful tradition in its truest and purest—and, in all likelihood, most entertaining–form. When traveling to Hawaii plan a luau show on the island of Oahu to get the most out of your vacation.

Aloha! Enjoy traveling to Hawaii with unique activities on the islands. Oahu, the Big Island, Maui, and Kauai are waiting to relax your mind with tours, snorkeling, luaus, and adventure.
Start off your travel plans with a tropical Hawaiian luau themed party right in your own backyard!

                    Hawaiian Luau HD

*****NOW IN HD***** This is an updated version of the Luau in HD. I figured out how to make an HD video and post it so here it is.. ***This is the Paradise Cove Luau that my wife and I went to. I was a good show with good food. This is just a few photos as well as some photos of the show. The videos in this were taken with my digital camera so they are not that good. I will be posting more videos shortly. they most likely will not have subtitles because it takes too much time. it will just be raw video with a short description like this one. Enjoy a little piece of our vacation.
